BCR ABL ANTIBODY

BCR-ABL Test হলো একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ molecular pathology test যা BCR-ABL fusion gene শনাক্ত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি সাধারণত Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) এবং কিছু ক্ষেত্রে Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) নির্ণয় ও monitor করার জন্য করা হয়। BCR-ABL gene তৈরি হয় chromosome 9 এবং chromosome 22-এর মধ্যে abnormal translocation-এর ফলে, যাকে Philadelphia chromosome বলা হয়।

এই abnormal gene একটি abnormal protein (tyrosine kinase) তৈরি করে, যা uncontrolled white blood cell growth ঘটায়। তাই BCR-ABL positive হলে leukemia diagnose এবং treatment plan নির্ধারণ করা সহজ হয়।

Test টি সাধারণত blood sample বা bone marrow sample থেকে করা হয়। Laboratory-তে PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) বা FISH method ব্যবহার করে BCR-ABL gene detect করা হয়। PCR test খুব sensitive এবং disease monitoring-এর জন্য ideal, কারণ এটি treatment চলাকালীন minimal residual disease পর্যন্ত detect করতে পারে।

Doctor সাধারণত এই test prescribe করেন যদি unexplained high white blood cell count, persistent fatigue, weight loss, enlarged spleen, বা leukemia সন্দেহ থাকে। CML patientদের ক্ষেত্রে treatment response monitor করার জন্য নিয়মিত BCR-ABL quantitative PCR test করা হয়।

এই test-এর জন্য সাধারণত fasting দরকার হয় না। তবে doctor-এর নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী preparation follow করা উচিত।
