What is Malignant Cells (Sputum) Test?

Sputum cytology হলো এমন একটি পরীক্ষা যেখানে রোগীর কফের মধ্যে থাকা কোষগুলো বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়।
যখন এই sputum-এ abnormal, atypical বা malignant cells পাওয়া যায়, তখন তা ফুসফুস বা শ্বাসনালীর ক্যান্সারের ইঙ্গিত দিতে পারে।

এই পরীক্ষাটি সাধারণত PAP stain বা special cytological stain ব্যবহার করে করা হয় যাতে কোষের গঠন, nucleus এবং abnormal changes স্পষ্টভাবে দেখা যায়।

Sample Collection Procedure

1. রোগীকে সকালে গভীর কাশি দিয়ে fresh sputum সংগ্রহ করতে বলা হয়

2. Saliva নয়, deep cough sputum প্রয়োজন

3. Sterile container-এ sample নেওয়া হয়

4. Laboratory-তে smear তৈরি করে staining করা হয়

5. Cytopathologist microscope-এ পরীক্ষা করেন
