📌 What is PSA?

PSA হলো একটি protein যা পুরুষদের prostate gland থেকে তৈরি হয়। PSA test রক্তের মাধ্যমে এই protein-এর পরিমাণ মাপা হয়। এটি মূলত prostate enlargement, prostate infection এবং prostate cancer screening করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।

🩺 Why is PSA Test Done?

Doctor PSA test advise করেন যদি:

• বারবার প্রস্রাব হয়

• প্রস্রাব শুরু করতে সমস্যা হয়

• প্রস্রাবের ধারা দুর্বল হয়

• প্রস্রাবে রক্ত আসে

• Family history of prostate cancer থাকে

এছাড়া 40–50 বছর বয়সের পর routine screening হিসেবেও PSA করা উচিত।

Cervical Cytology বা Pap Smear Test হলো একটি screening test যা মহিলাদের cervix (জরায়ুর মুখ) থেকে cell সংগ্রহ করে microscopic examination করা হয়। এটি cervical cancer early stage-এ detect করতে সাহায্য করে।

Cervical cancer অনেক সময় শুরুতে কোনো লক্ষণ দেয় না। তাই নিয়মিত Pap test খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

👩 Who Should Do Pap Smear?

• 21–65 years women

• Married women

• Irregular bleeding থাকলে

• Post-coital bleeding (সহবাসের পর রক্তপাত)

• White discharge with infection

• 21–29 years → Every 3 years

• 30–65 years → Every 3–5 years
