SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin) হলো একটি protein যা liver থেকে তৈরি হয় এবং রক্তে testosterone ও estrogen–এর মতো sex hormones-কে bind করে রাখে। Hormone কতটা “free” (active) থাকবে, তা অনেকটাই SHBG-এর উপর নির্ভর করে।

🔬 SHBG কীভাবে কাজ করে?

• Testosterone / Estrogen রক্তে দুইভাবে থাকে: bound ও free

• SHBG বেশি হলে → free hormone কমে যায়

• SHBG কম হলে → free hormone বেড়ে যায় (symptoms বাড়তে পারে)
