Thyroglobulin (Tg) হলো একটি protein যা thyroid gland তৈরি করে এবং যার ভেতরেই T3 ও T4 hormone তৈরি ও সংরক্ষণ হয়। Blood-এ Tg পরিমাপ করে বোঝা যায় thyroid tissue আছে কিনা, অথবা thyroid cancer treatment-এর পর কোনো residual/recurrence হচ্ছে কিনা।

• Tg তৈরি হয় thyroid follicle-এর ভেতরে (colloid অংশে)

• এখান থেকেই T3/T4 hormone তৈরি হয়
